Job Title: Distribution Sales Manager
Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and results-driven Distribution Sales Manager to lead our distribution sales team. As the Distribution Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth through our distribution channels. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of distribution sales processes, and the ability to foster strong relationships with distributors and partners.
Responsibilities:
Develop Sales Strategies: Collaborate with senior management to develop comprehensive sales strategies for distribution channels, aligned with overall business objectives and revenue targets.
Manage Distribution Sales Team: Lead, mentor, and motivate the distribution sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives. Provide guidance, support, and ongoing training to enhance team performance.
Identify New Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities and potential distribution partners to expand our market reach and increase sales volume. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitors, and customer needs.
Build and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential distribution partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering long-term partnerships.
Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate distribution agreements, contracts, and pricing terms with distribution partners. Ensure that agreements are mutually beneficial and aligned with company policies and objectives.
Monitor Sales Performance: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including sales volume, revenue, and market share. Develop reports and dashboards to track progress, identify trends, and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies.
Forecasting and Planning: Collaborate with the sales forecasting team to develop accurate sales forecasts for distribution channels. Develop sales plans and budgets to support forecasted sales targets.
Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities in the distribution sales space. Continuously research and explore new opportunities to improve sales effectiveness and drive growth.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field. Proven track record of success in distribution sales management, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of distribution sales processes, channels, and best practices. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and derive actionable insights.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. Ability to travel as needed to meet with distribution partners and attend industry events.
Certification in sales management or related field is a plus.
